The First Aid Response course is a three-day certified course

The course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency first aid should the need arise.

This course is perfect for anyone who is required to act as first aider in their place of work, community group, voluntary organisation and in the home. It is also a fantastic introduction to providing emergency care and using a defibrillator.

This Three-day First Aid Response course trains people to become First Aid Responders on their work floor. A First Aid Responder may be a healthcare practitioner or a member of the public who has undertaken a First Aid Response course incorporating the Cardiac First Response standard. In addition to CFR skills, the First Aid Responder possesses defined skills in the further management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services. The First Aid Responder is able to assess and manage these patients in accordance with clinical practice guidelines (CPGs)

Under the Safety Health and Work Act it is a requirement to have trained first Aiders in the workplace.
